Q BAR TURNS

Grooving to the music of Black eye peas “I have a feeling that tonight’s gonna be a goodnight” while prepping up made me very excited to attend the first year anniversary of Q bar.
Straightening my back, squaring my shoulders and jutting my pelvis out I am in a perfect geometry and so I went inside the bar. I am wearing a 5 inches heels and I pray that I won’t trip although in reality actual supermodels are famous beyotches; high relative risk for potential disaster. Haha

There my friend Randall Gotan one of the brains behind Q bar greeted me and lead me to one of the cocktail tables. Everybody dress up for the party and looked striking.
TIPS ON EVENING MAKE-UP:
When doing your makeup for an evening look, most makeup artists recommend that you choose either your lips or your eyes as the focus. Heavy eye makeup and dark lipstick looks something like the pages of Vogue circa 1984. If you like intense eye makeup with layers of different shades, thick liner and mascara, then you are better off toning down your lips by doing a neutral shade or keeping them sheer and glossy. If you have great lips and want to play them up with a sassy red or deep plum, then you can use just a touch of liner on the lash line, and a neutral sweep of shadow. If the focus is on your lips, make sure to take care of them by moisturizing and exfoliating so your lip colour doesn't look flaky on dry lip skin.

The bar area are jump-packed with people who feel parched and wants to zip their favourite drink. Delicious foods are served.  A booze and fun night for everybody!
As we sashay down the party Glenn Yap, Steven Pua, Gotan Brothers Ryan and Randall flashed a smile. My lovely Girls Chenee Natividad, Ailen Quirt and Kate Zabala didn’t let the photo opportunity pass too.

Our editors in chief Armando Nicolas, Apple Great Son Francisco, Marthin Millado and Team Gensan Gazer are present! (Too bad we missed Sissy Donna Mae Congson).

At the bar veranda’s, people are also busy dancing, head banging and drinking.
Indeed Q bar brought a new meaning of partying in Gensan. They introduced the latest music from different genres and also host exciting parties. Partying with a great crowd, served with excellent food and drinks is a Q bar experience! Congratulation to your 1st anniversary Q! Tonight, indeed is a good, good night.

MODELING

When I was first introduced to the exciting world of modelling, I took it upon myself to learn everything I possibly could about the business. A serious student, I quizzed every industry expert I met: agents, photographers, art directors, designers, business people and model themselves. I search the shelves of bookstores for books about the fashion industry, books about photography, hair and makeup and about modelling.

NOW TAKE A GOOD LONG LOOK AT YOURSELF IN THE MIRROR- YOU ARE YOUR PRODUCT- your face, your body and mind, your personality, enthusiasm, dedication and commitment. Only you can build a career for yourself. Sure you’ll need the guidance and expertise of agents and industry professionals but in the end, it’ll be up to you.
**TIPS FOR THE MODEL BODY**

HEALTH
Your health affects your looks, your energy---everything you do as a model. Maintaining it must be primary concern and part of your professional routine. You will book more work if you consistently get sufficient sleep, eat, a balanced diet and maintain an exercise routine.

SKIN CARE
If you are healthy, your skin will reflect it. Diet, rest and exercise are basic to a smooth, glowing complex. Super model Beverly Jonson recommends meditation also. These she, feels, are powerful beautifiers because they affect the way we feel our sense of well being and that inner beauty can’t help but be reflected in our appearance.

MODEL HAIR
A working model’s hair is usually washed daily to rid it of the products that are used for a typical photo shoot. All that shampooing, blow-drying, curling, crimpling, gels, hair spray can take a toll. Condition with heat; let the conditioner soak in for at at least ten minutes. Then rinse it thoroughly, gradually finishing the rinse with cool water.

EXERCISE
A healthy body is fit, toned and curvy. Its’ muscle that creates curves, not bulging muscles, but long, toned muscle. No matter how much attention you pay to your diet, you will not look your best or feel best until you find an exercise routine that is comfortable to you.

MAKEUP
As a model, you will, in time learn all secrets from professional make-up artists with whom you work. Until then you need be aware only of the basics. Keep your skin clean and moisturizes and wear a little make up as possible to go sees and appointments. Excessive make-up clogs pores, cause breakouts and even allergic reactions.

You can be a model and still be yourself, don’t forget to keep learning everything you can about your business, yourself and the opportunities that surround you. Keep an open mind.

Women’s beauty is a glorious reflection of being comfortable in their own skin. It’s very relevant to have a radiant and healthy-looking skin and it’s good to exfoliate once every two weeks to remove the dead cells and dirt. So I head straight to Horizon Spa and Fitness Studio owned by ever charming Mrs. Eunice O. Tan to get my CUCCIO Body Scrub. Cuccio is an ultra fine sea salts that exfoliates then polish. Add the hydrating benefits of milk and honey lotion that makes the skin very soft. After 20 minutes my arms and legs looks glowing, it’s very smooth ready for the big night and spotlight.

CAREER CHIC

Whether you’re a hard boiled career chick on the fast track or just trying to make a living, you and your fellow working girls have plenty in common- from dealing with work-related stress finding the energy to make the most of everyday. Now I will offer tips, techniques, and suggestions to help you of professional productivity, personal fulfillment ---and fun!
  • 1.   Remember when your mother used to tell you that breakfast was the most important meal of the day? With the exception of power lunches that help you move up the chain of command, she was right.
  • 2.   Get lathered and get going. You can shave shower time down to two minutes flat. Benefits of two minute shower besides abbreviating primp time? Better skin! Beauty experts swear that slathering on to cure to dry skin is only half equation: shorter cooler shower that helps your skin to retain more moisture in the first place.
  • 3.      Master sixty second make-up. Keep essential in small zippered pouch. It’ll not only help you find everything in a pinch, but it’s easier to throw into your bag for touch up-s later. Basic make up: powder, blush-on and lipstick.
  • 4.      Start your engines; maintain a vehicle you can count on to. The number one rule in car ownership is similar to body ownership: get your checkups. Every three thousand mile you should plan to take your car for an oil change, warm up your vehicle and make sure not to overheat it.
  • 5.      Organize your Day-timer to save time, money and your career. Make a daily to do list, cross off items as you accomplish them. At the end of the day move the unaccomplished goals to the next page.
  • 6.      Make your desk clean and avoid being a “piler”. Try holding file technique and label them
“Important Act Now!” “Review by Friday” and “Low Priority”.
  • 7.      Learn how to say” I love my job”.
  • 8.      Flash your sweetest smile as you bid goodbye to your office mates and boss.
  • 9.      Go out if you still have leisure time. Meet your girlfriends and shop with them, visit your guy friends and talk about NBA, eat out with your family, download new songs to your iPod or hit the gym. Unwind somewhere or do the things you loved to; you deserve it girl.
  • 10.  Moisturize, get a good sleep and don’t forget to thank God for a beautiful day.
